Definetly sounds like a loose wire. Inspect your fuses to make sure they are all seating properly.

Sounds like you may have to remove the cluster panel and inspect the harness on the back.

Please turn the CAPS off. The forum will fix most of it, but it makes your problem harder to read.

The cluster harness is BEHIND the cluster panel. You have to remove the cluster to get to it.

I've got an '01 Silhouette - same car. My lights flickered a little with headlights on & I saw a noticeable volt drop then come right back when I turned an accessory on or hit the brakes. With 112,000 miles on the clock I figured the brushes were worn down to nubs in the alternator & replaced it. Lights don't flicker ant more, all is well.
Alternator replacement is not easy on that car. Plan for 2.5hrs with hand tools. Have to loosen motor mounts and roll engine forward to get to rear bolts. Also, P/S pump has to be disconnected and moved out of the way, tensioner gets removed and idler pulley. Not a fun job.
