My power window on the driver side refused to go up last week (in a snowstorm, no less). I went to a repair place and they tested the circuits and they were fine. They said it had to be the motor and I bought the part and said I would swap it out myself. I got a block away and for kicks tried to roll up my window and it worked. Not sluggish or a few inches here and there, just all the way up. I tried up and down several times and it worked. I turned around and told them what had just happened and they said my motor is going out and I should go ahead and swap the part.

Does this sound right? Are there any other possible explanations?

If this is the best course of action, any tips on swapping out the motor (98 toyota sienna).
