Rim sizes for 1986 s15 pickup

I have a 1986 S15 pickup truck that I need to replace the rims. Currently, the truck has 14 inch rims. Are there any gotcha's with changing the rim size to 15 inches? I am looking to go from a tire size of p205/75r14 to p205/75r15. Thanks for your assistance.

Welcome to the forums Randy

I'm a ford man so I don't know a lot about the bowtie brand but I would think that your truck should have come from the factory with 15" rims.

Do you still have the sticker on the door or glovebox that gives the tire sizes?
205 seems kind of small for a truck.

I thought that was odd too, but I have verified the size and it is a 14 inch tire. Manual states 14 inches. The s15 is one of the mid-size pickups that GM made, just like the Ford Ranger.

You'll be inducing an error in the speedometer reading. Actual speed will be slightly higher than indicated; about 2 mph
