Ignition Rod 1996 Ford Ranger
If anybody can help I would be thankful. I have a 1996 Ford Ranger p/u and it needs to have the ignition rod replaced. I have it torn down and think I know what the rod looks like but I'm not sure. Also I need to know how to remove the old one and put a new one in. Again all information would be appreciated.

I think some vehicles have a rod connected to the switch that goes down the steering column to where there it makes the switching contacts. I think.
