brakes ok going forward but squeak going backward

I have a 2006 Lexus IS 250 AWD that has about 30,000 mi. on it. The brakes are fine going forward but squeak going backward. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Your rear brakes are squeaking
Rear brakes get much less use than the front brakes, and are replaced less often, so any grease/anti-squeal products tend to fail/wash-off over time

At 30K it is probably worth having them looked at, just to be on the safe side
If your front brake pads are original, then have them all gone over for a safety check
They may be able to lube the appropriate parts on the rears (maybe not-it depends) at that time

If you are in a damp region you will find this rear brake squeal more often than dry regions
Some vehicles are more susceptible than others

So I guess it is not an uncommon problem.

i know that this may seem a bit simplistic but you never know...

i had an altima once and in the rear brake i had a stone lodged in a way that you would only hear in reverse...sounds bizzare but it fell out on its own...

being that you should still be under warranty take it back to them and let them deal with...you paid for it...let them work...
