Floor jack sweating at release valve

I have a MotoMaster Heavy-duty Service Jack, model no. 09-1047-6. It is less than two years old. A few projects ago I noticed that when I bring the jack back down that it starts to sweat out fluid from the release valve. It doesn't always do this and when it does its a very small amount. The jack also squeaks when lifting a load. What is the proper course of action?

After further inspection, it appears that it was actually leaking from one of the gears close to the release valve. I took it all apart and replaced the o-ring and retightened everything. After numerous ups/downs it doesn't appear to leak anymore. Should be ok, had someone stand on it, but won't know for sure until I can actually use it for lifting a vehicle again. Hopefully the 30 cent fix works.
