1992 Honda Civic won't start

The car turns over but as soon as the key is released from starting the engine it dies. If I hold the key and don't release it all the way the engine continues to run. Do I have an ignition switch problem?

The electrical part of the ignition switch can be replaced separate from the ignition lock cylinder so you will not need a new ignition key. OK thanks, I'll give that a try. After playing with the key, it started. Has to be in the switch.

'94 Dodge Caravan Airbags

We just bought a '94 Dodge Caravan fairly cheap and good condition for the money and mileage. Anyway, the airbag light is on when the vehicle starts, and we know that that has to be checked out. My questions is here, in Canada, can we have the bags deactivated without a specific medical reason, as we're not too comfortable with them. If we do keep them/have to keep them, I believe that it could just be a fuse right? If not, what else, because we don't want to unload a ton fixing it.. and like mentioned would prefer to have them off.

I really screwed up, my engine is shot. I need to replace the 3.8 on my Ford Windstar with 100K miles. They are telling me it'd be around $2,600 for a used (20K) engine, and about $3,600 for a rebuilt. Damn....I new it would be pricey...but wow! Any advise on which way to go and how to approach this? Thanks
