88 Mazda MX6 Inner Tie Rod end replacement
Cannot remove Inner tie rod end from power steering component for replacement. Chilton manual not helpful.
Please respond quickly, we are tired and need the car operable asap.

It looks like you could use some special tools. Sometimes auto parts stores either rent or loan those out.

Bob, I think you missed the part where he said "inner". The link describes the outter (I had already searched without success).
Best of my knowledge most inners are secured with some variation of a retaining clip or ring under the rubber boot covering it, but I have nothing specific on your model.

I see what you mean - well they should have had the inners on that link!!
I know that is about the same as a Ford Probe of the same years.
