93' Ford tempo sometimes starts & sometimes not.
have fuel and spark, dist. cap seems dry.
lately has been starting regularly, sounds fine when running.
1 time stalled out after starting(running approx. 30 sec.) before stalling out.tried to restart immediately turned over, would'nt fire up.was thinking about replacing control module under dist. cap.first I guess I should check to see if it has spark (when turning over and not starting).any suggestions?

Those modules were a common place to check when those symptoms appeared, in fact I had one in my tool box for years, as a test piece for just such situations. If I'm not mistaken, the fact that they were attached to the side of the distributor, and exposed to fairly high heat from it, was one of the reasons they gave for early failure.
