viper remote start

i had a remote starter installed by best buy in my chevy silverado pick up, since then every so often the truck seems to shift into gear differently, when that happens it seems to have little or no pick up and horse power from a dead stop... dont realy know what is going on, maybe someone else is expieriencing same thing?

I don't see how a remote start could do this... Sounds more like a possible transmission solenoid or torque converter.

Hows your tranny fluid? Is it nice and red and not smell burnt?

How soon after the install did you start experiencing this sporadic behavior?

Obviously the only tie-in could be if your shifting relies on vacuum tubes or electronics to shift (or else this is just a coincidence), and they inadvertently bumped something just somewhat loose, but not totally. You might call them up and run this by them to ask them if there was at all a chance that where they hooked this thing up at that they could have bumped something.
