I have two questions about the electrical on a 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. First, the general question, I cannot find the relay layout for the relays in the fuse panel (on the side of the dash). The panel has a diagram of the fuses and breakers, but tells me to look at the manual for relays (and the manual has nothing on the relays). There are 2 relay slots in the box (one large one is vacant) and I just want to know what the vacant location could have (it may not be used in the Dakota). Is there a good place to get a diagram (Haynes does not have it). I cannot tell if the electric fan (radiator) is working. I think I can see the connection, but am not sure if it is the right one (the wire harness goes down from the fan and it appears as though there is a harness on the right side of the shroud). I could just pull the relay and jumper the contacts to see if it works, this is more for my knowledge on the layout under the hood. (BTW, 4.7 L engine, 4 WD). Thanks

I have a 2004 Chevy Avalanche with a strange AC problem. Normally my AC works just fine but about once a week or so it will suddenly blow heat instead of AC and there is nothing I can do to the AC controls to stop it. The only fix I have found that works is to completely shut the car off and start it again. By doing so the AC returns to normal and blows cold again. Any idea what is happening here? Thanks.
