1986 toyota camry

Engine wont intake fuel and dies while driving on freeway at a stop light or going 35 down the road.....runs great in nuetral...thinking it might be a fuel filter. Need suggestions or ideas....maybe injectors,carborator not sure if it would be cheaper to get a new car

any help much appreciated

If it's a carbureted engine could be either fuel filter or carburetor float; more likely the filter. Most older Toys have a sight glass in the side of the carb. Next time it dies, pull over and check the sight glass; you'll probably see the fuel level well below normal or maybe not at all. Proper level will be right in the center of the sightglass.

fuel filter

can you tell me what the sight glass looks like on carb and also where is the fuel filter located and can I change it myself
