ford trannie
i have a 94 ford f150 with a bad aod/aode trannie. I want to replace it with a 5 speed, i know its alot of work with the pedals and such but i was wondering if the truck will operate with a different trannie or if my transfer case will bolt back up to it, also if its possible of converting the automatic connections to the standard trannie like neutral start switch speedo gear and reverse lights, thanks dave

The lights, neutral switch, and speedometer drive will be the smallest issues. You can get those to work.
The transfer case - check with a salvage yard. They are pretty good about what fits what with crossovers. I don't know about that one myself.
You also have cross member/mountings, clutch assembly, hydraulic cylinders for the clutch, mounting for the pedals, all that = quite a bit of work and fitting.
Hope this helps,
Bob

Sorry but wouldn't be a lot easier just to get a rebuilt or used automatic tranny ?, trying to switch to a manual sounds like a lot of trouble, you may not be able to hook up your transfer case again, you may need a new computer also, plus all the linkage and mods to your firewall for the clutch assembly.
