Clearing engine lights
Is there any way to clear engine light on a 2001 Honda Civic without a code scanner.
And also for a 2000 BMW 320i same thing , along with airbag light being on...could it be a sensor plroblem and where would it be located.

engine light
I doubt you'll be able to clear the air bag light on the bmw, thats going to be a dealer only issue, but for the engine lights
if you go to autozone they will scan it for free and they let you clear the trouble codes yourself ( by law they can't do it ) , at least the honda not so sure about the engine light on the bmw.
Also , if problem with either one is not fixed , light will come right back.

I concur
I concur that clearing the light without fixing problem will only cause a temporary gratification.
The light will come back on in short order. Also dont know if you have yearly inspections in Canada but if you try that here in the US you will fail everytime even with no light on.
Get a hold of the scanner and see what code you have might be some simple thing like a gas cap.
