Temperature gauge 2001 Impala
I own a 2001 Impala with the larger v6 engine. Lately the temperature gauge has not been getting up to normal temp. I do have heat though. Today it didn't register at all. It was -2 degrees today. When I got home and shut the engine off, the fan ran for about 5 minutes. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?

It could be the sensor unit just kind of freezing due to that extreme low, don't make too much of it until you see how it registers under your normal weather, no big deal, let engine
warm up before engaging tranny in the mornings...
