Thinking of buying a 98 Land Rover Discovery
A co-working wants to sell his Discovery. Cosmetically it needs work. The interior is worn and dirty and the exterior needs a clay bar, polisher/sealer. It's a high mileage (147,000) 4.0 V8. The right rear brake dust shield came loose and busted the brake line, so I'm unable to test drive the vehicle. The seller did mention a power steering hose is leaking. He wanted $2500, I offereed $1700 we settled on $1900. I've done a little research on Land Rovers. Parts are expensive nad Land Rovers do not hold their value. I do all my own work so I'm not too conerned in that department.
Anyone have hands on experience working on Land Rovers?
What's your opinion?

Not a problem on cleaning up the thread. My intention was to show all aspects of the truck incase someone who's familiar with Discovery's can chime in. For the next time, less is more.
