2000 Pontiac G A heater fan

The heater fan only blows on high setting. Why?

The blower motor resistor is corroded and needs to be replaced, more than likely. These are known to corrode and have been redesigned on certain GM vehicles.

[B]my son has a 2wd 1996 auto ,4.3v6engine blazer.there is a roar coming from his back wheels when you turn them,i noticed that when i put on his brake shoes.i have a haynes repair manual,but i find no-where how you replace the rear wheel barons.don't you have to pull out the shaft from the differential.if so i need to know how to pull it out also.thanks any help would be appreciated.[/B]

Spare tire question

My wife's spare tire has a cut in it, and should be replaced. Sears has a sale this week, so I thought I'd get a replacement there, but the tread on the spare will not match the tread on the other tires. If this was the full-time tire the tread mismatch would cause handling problems, but since this is the spare, and would be used only once in a while for just a few miles, is that a problem? An acceptable risk? Thanks!
