2001 chevy silverado 5.3 problem

got check engine light on, says vacuum leak small leak, any common problems as to where to start to look ??

There is a service bulletin out for the intake gaskets leaking. That would be my first place to look.

I used to have one of those and I got the code. Turned out it was my gas cap. The seal was going bad.

EVERYWHERE there is vacuum present. tug on all hoses lightly. if they come off, they are too loose. cut of 1/8 inch and re install or replace..then go to the expensive stuff.
