Dexcool Lawsuit

Does anyone have info on the Class Action Lawsuit against GM? I was told by my mechanic that there is one out there. I had to have the manifold gasket replaced thhis morning and am going to pay out the ass for it. I have found information on it but am curious how to file a claim.

What car what year. I used to have a 99 grand am. those were infamous for having the manifold gaskets break. After $2000 in repairs, it still seized my engine up 2 months later. I haven't heard anything about a lawsuit?

There was one with Ford several years after we had bought and sold our Ford. We received a notification in the mail from Ford, much like a recall notice. I assumed they had to provide that part in the lawsuit settlement. We simply filled out the claim and sent it back.

In Iowa there was a recent one that involved Microsoft. It was publicized in the Newspaper and on television. For that one we applied online.

If you have documentation, hang on to it. If they contest your claim (and they can) you have grounds on which to pursue it.

Hope this helps,

Bob

FWIW, anytime I hear the term "class-action lawsuit", I figure the only ones getting any "action" are the attorneys.
