89 G20 Van - Rear end rattle

Hey, I got a 1989 Chevy G20 van with a 5.7L and the rear end has a rattle when you drive it and just trying to get an idea of what it could be. We replaced the drive shaft universal joints which didn't solve it so can anyone give me an idea of what all could be causing the rattle?

Nah it's not the exhaust. Thinking maybe it might be the rear differential or maybe a wheel bearing or something?

Sure it's not a jack or tire iron rattling around back there?

worn differential side gears can "rattle" in the differential case...altho to me it sounds more like knocking...so be really sure that it's not some loose junk somewhere in the back. you have to do some disassembly of the diff to check for side gear play or looseness of the cross shaft.

Well found out what it was. It was a wheel bearing.
