Wife has a 2003 Alero 3.4 engine,we want to do a little traveling this summer .Have a boler light weight trailer we are gonna pull behind car Do I need to have a transmission cooler installed trailer weighs 1200 lbs

I just starting working on transmission in the last year, so I'm not an expert in that field. With those Specs I would go with a Trans Cooler, better save than sorry and it will keep trans cooler.
I don't know if you had it done yet, but this is one of the engine model that forms a coolant leak at the lower intake gasket. (corner of intake next to thermostat). I would make sure you don't have a leak before towing. The one thing good about this model it has a low coolant light.
