Squeling Brakes
Folks;
I have a 2000 Chrysler 300m with 75,000miles. My disc
brakes were replaced approx. seven thousand miles ago.
rotors were turned and until now no problems. Now when
I am coming to a gradual stop my brakes are squeling like
crazy.They only do this when hot. When I changed the
brakes I did nothing to the calibers.I believe the noise is coming from the front brakes. I would appreciate all the
help I can get on solving this problem. Thank you in advance
Ron

Hi Ronald,
I have been told by mechanics that the new brake pads today are asbestos free. Therefore the noise. I think the brake pad from different manufactures do better than others.
Good luck,
Gary

Ronald I Think All You Need Is Some Sandpaper.now A Days Most Aftermarket Brake Pads Are Painted, So After Some Miles An Edge Builds Up On The Pads.just Remove The Pads And Sand The Edges And Flat Serfaces,you May Want To Add Some Anti Squeel To The Backs Of The Pads.this Come's In Liquid Or Stick On Shims, Both Are Quite Affective. Im Sure This Will Resolve Your Noise.
