1999 Ford Windstar Door Ajar Light Stuck On
Someone gave me a 1999 Ford Windstar. When I first got it, the dashboard was a Christmas tree because every light was on. After fixing every system and getting the lights to turn off one by one, I am stuck with the door ajar light staying on. It seems to interfere with the alarm system too, because the alarm occasionally beeps for no apparent reason.
History: I know the car was rear ended. I know that the 2 swinging and two sliding passenger compartment doors are not the problem, because when I open any of those, the door alarm chime beeps, telling me that the system is detecting that those doors are closed and then being opened. When I open the rear trunk door, there is no beep. The magnetic sensors on the trunk area are in place and appear to line up correctly. What should I look for so that I can get the door ajar light off and have the interior lights be off without me turning the interior light switch (on the dimmer) off?

Take a look at this Link.....1999 and 2000 suffer from the same design flaw.
