Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly

99 Pontiac Grand Prix. I've changed these before, but this time I cannot get the old hub off. Tried pounding it out from the back with the bolts, also have tried just beating the dam thing out from the part that spindle that attached the wheel. Anyone have any advise?

Thorough soaking in PB Blaster or another brand of penetrating oil and a 5lb slide hammer

2000 Alero Cruise Control Question

Hi, I have a 2000 oldsmobile alero with the 3.4 L V-6. In the last couple of weeks I have noticed the cruise control disengage when I drive over some rough spots in the road. If I remember right I never had a problem before. I have also noticed sometimes when I hit these rough spots the tach increases. I think the increase on the tach comes from the torque converter becoming "unlocked". Any indeas? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Jon

I had a starter replaced in my Dodge Ram PU a couple of weeks ago. The work was done by a reputable (non dealer) shop that I have done business with before. The replacement starter has failed. The shop guarantees their work and will replace the starter at no charge to me. The problem relates to the towing charges. It will cost nearly $100 to tow the vehicle to their shop. I feel they should pay, they say their not responsible to get the vehicle there. If their position is normal practice I will pay, but I would like to know if most shops operate this way.
