Exclamation 1987 isuzu trooper 2

I have a 1987 isuzu trooper II it started to leak fuel from the over flow tube that runs down the left side of motor if facing it what would cause this to happen and how would i fix it

First off.......I doubt it is fuel, because it would be extremely unsafe to put an Overflow tube full of fuel in the engine compartment. As a matter of fact, There are safeguards in place to ensure this "DOESNT" happen.

If it is indeed fuel, then I suspect it is a "LEAKING COMPONENT" and not an OVERFLOW.

A Digital camera and a "Photobucket" link would work great right about now.....

The overflow tube, as you call it, is open on the end hanging down on the left of the engine? What does the other end connect up to?

to the fuel pump the other lines are hooked up the return and the line to the carb are all hooked up

I still do not follow. You said in prior post that the overflow goes down on the left. So, then if you trace that line/tube back UP, where is THAT going?
