96 Caravan 3.0 loses fire from the coil

My dodge Caravan with the 3.0 engine will start and run a few moments then die and not restart until everything is good and cold. I am loosing fire from the coil to the distributor. What can be causing this? I replaced the coil and the distributor module with a used module.
Fuel pressure is 50. Change the fuel filter as well as plugs, dist cap, rotor, and wires.

Sort of ironic I just started a thread on this sort of thing, without even seeing your post first. Hopefully answers will be forthcoming. Obviously, a shop would figure this out. Be the pits to have this happen way away from home.

if possible, run a jumper wire from the coil term. to the dist. terminal. sounds like the wire is broken inside the insulation. if it runs then replace the wire. good luck!
