How are wiper refills removed and installed??

I have been changing my windshield wiper blades in the past but think it would be quite a bit cheaper to just refill them. Can anyone explain how the refills are removed from the wiper blades and how they are installed???

if by refills you are referring to the blade itself replacement, i've done that before. you need needle nose pliers. open last several prongs that hold blade in place and slide it out. usually comes out with 2 or 1 metal stay/-s that hold it in place. then you replace rubber part and slide it all back in. on some models there's a locking prong that prevents blade from sliding out.
i quit the process for 2 reasons:
1. it never works right after
2. you can buy the whole wiper in wallmart for the cost of refill in parts store.
also, if you good with pliers and have keen eye, you can adjust current wipers. bend the wiper frame so that the wiper goes back to 90 degrees on the glass. extends life for maybe few more months.
