one more Q

hey i all so have aQ about a 90 honda civic timing belt would you know witch way to take the chrank pully bolt off? i can't get it too break loose! thanks

There is a special tool used to remove the crank bolt. It fits into the larger "Hex-Shaped" hole in the pulley, to hold the crank , while a second ratchet and socket are used to break the bolt.

An Impact gun only works sometimes, and trying to do it by hand is way out of the question.

i have found about some japanese makes, the hard way, that main seals are directional. they even have arrow stamped on them.
so, before you start breaking that bolt loose, make sure that your crankshaft WILL NOT turn counterclockwise. or you may end up with what i had - disassemble half engine to replace timing belt, complete the job, reassemble everything back, just to find a nasty oil leak from the front main seal.
