Getting the Air Out
What is the best way to get the air out of the radiator and cooling system , ( used to be able to losing a heater hose clamp) but this car has push on heater hoses. This is a mini van and radiator sits even with the engine and has no purge valve.

Absent the bleeder screw, park it on a steep incline nose uphill. Ramps are even better. Remove radiator cap and idle engine until the thermostat opens (top hose gets hot). Before the thermostat opens you will get some overflow from the filler neck. When the thermostat opens the level should drop slightly and the upper hose get hot. Top it off and install cap. This doesn't always work, but I've had good success with it.
