96- Camry getting no fuel, has spark.

I have replaced the fuel filter and checked the fuel pump. Car cranks over and fires up but won't stay running. I even shot some gas into the throttle assembly thru the breather tube and it runs longer, like 3-5 seconds. Is there a sensor
or relay that can shut down the fuel injectors? Car refuses to stay run more than 1-2 seconds. Can a faulty igniter be the problem? Someone please tell me which part can shut down the fuel system or can stop the injectors from working? Will a scanner be able to analyze the problem with the engine not running? Thanks!

Oh and by the way...

I have 2 of the same cars so I can swap out parts to verify what I need before I actually buy anything. I'm looking for a part I can change out that has the ability to cause this complete shut down of the engine.

Throttle position sensor (TPS) for one. Idle air control (IAC) possibly. Either one should give you a check engine light, though.

You're not getting a check engine light?
