Suburban Fuel Pump

I Have Changed The Fuel Pump In My Suburban 3 Times In The Past Month And Now It Is Broke Again. Once Changed By A Mechanic And The Others Changed By Me. The Little Plastic Fuel Line Between The Top And Bottom Of The Pump Keeps Bursting As If It Is Getting To Much Pressure. The Pressure Regulator Is Under The Hood On This Model. Also My Vehicle Is Flex Fuel E85. I Have Never Put E85 In It Till This Past Month Then Started The Problems With The Hose Bursting. However I Do Not Believe It Has Anything To Do With It. Please Help!! Thanks So Much!!!

Never came across a problem like this before. I guess my first question, is the replacement pumps GM or aftermarket? When it comes to fuel pumps, I always urge people to use GM pumps.

check for movement of the pump, it sounds like a bracket is broken and allowing flexing to the hose to cause it to break. you might check with a speed shop to see if any aftermarket hoses are available to replace that hose. Maybe braided stainless steel with teflon liner? or maybe move to a external pump.
