2005 Chevy Malibu tie rod installation

I am trying to get installation directions for outer tie rods. Help!

Outer Tie Rods are pretty simple to replace. There should be a jam nut between the inner and outer tie rod ends. Loosen the jam nut first, then remove the nut holding the joint to the spindle. You will need to smack the joint with a large hammer to break it loose. Once you have it loose, simply turn the outer tie rod end off of the inner. Be sure to count the turns as you do so. Install the new tie rod end with the same number of turns. Tighten everything down, and you are done. I highly recommend a front end alignment after doing this type of repair. Counting the turns gets you in the ballpark, but it could still cause uneven tire wear.
