2001 Plymouth Neon won't start
My 2001 Plymouth Neon won't start. A few times, before it died yesterday, it would hesitate when I turned on the ignition for just a second and then would turn over.
Yesterday, it wouldn't start at all. The lights and radio and a/c come on, but the car won't start. There's no grinding sound ..no sound, period.
I had the starter changed and it worked for a couple of tries, but then did the same thing as before. No sound, didn't start.
Is it the battery? Even though the radio, lights and a/c work?
Thank you!

Who changed the starter & why? Did they check & clean all your connections before replacing the starter? By the sounds of it, maybe not. Battery, and all connections should have been checked prior to starter replacement. Did you try moving your shifter to neutral when it won't start? If transmission linkage happened to go out of adjustment for some strange reason, it could cause that. Make sure you try it while holding shifter and pushing it hard into park, and try using neutral, to see if that makes any difference. Always possibility of defective safety neutral switch on transmission, or push clutch pedal fully, on standard.

Worn motor mounts can easily flex a shifter cable to the point of adjustment change......
Also...The starter signal runs thru the PCM......and Neons have a nasty habit of eating harnesses due to corrosion and the placement of Their Batteries. look at the Battery wiring , and the Power distribution block for signs of Physical or chemical damage.
