Diagnostic Code 97 Civic

1997 Honda Civic LX 5 spd

Engine Malfunction Light

OBD II #135 O2 Sensor Malfunction

any idea what this is?

and cost to repair?

is this something that I can do or does this have to go to a Honda shop?

Havent checked, but if I recall, that is a failed o2 heater.

Determining which sensor.......You definitely have at least 2, possibly 3 or 4....is the trick....

Any reputable shop can take care of this for you...it does not need to go to honda.

If you can, have it scanned again , and get the position......

sensor 1 is before the cat, sensor 2 is after. Replacing the sensor itself is a matter of unscrewing it and installing a new one, but you must check the heater circuit wiring on the proper sensor position before continuing.

Yes, it reads the gasses in the exhaust stream and reports a value to the computer or rather the variation in voltage is read by the computer and interpreted.

Car window off its track?!

I have a 1995 Mustang GT V8 and I need to get its drivers side rear window back on its track before the next rain storm. I know that this is what is wrong, because I can hear the motor when I try to roll it up or down and I can hear it trying to roll it up. I am really very good with cars, but I do not know how to get into the paneling in the rear of the car to fix my little problem. If anyone could help me out and tell me what to do once I get the paneling off I would be really greatful!:wall:

2004 Grand Prix wont start

I have a 2004 Grand Prix GT 3.8 V6 auto trans. First thing in the morning it starts fine. I can drive across town shut it off and try to restart it immediately and it wont start. All electronics on dash and radio will all come on but when I turn the ignition its like there is no connection at all. No clicking of the starter or anything. After it sits for 2 or 3 hrs I can go out and it will turn over but wont start right away. After I try to start it a couple of times I can stop for a couple of minutes and then it will start right up. I can drive it back home, park it and go through the exact same thing again. It is very consistant and will do the same thing every time. Have not tried anything yet except jumper cables just to make sure it wasnt battery problem. Any ideas will help.
