2002 impala gas gauge problem

Hi I had just noticed that My tank below the 1/4 line at the moment has started to fluctuate whenever I brage or take a hard curve. Has anyone run into this before??? Thanks in advance for your help.

Used to be you would suspect the voltage regulator in the system that was designed to control excessive movement of the needle on hills and curves. With everything gone computer now, more likely to be in the electronics. Here's some reading material until one of the pro's shows up:

I think it's just the fuel sloshing around in a tank without baffles, and the gauge is underdamped.
My Subaru gauge takes many seconds to respond to the actual fuel level, so I think they overdamped this one, maybe to cover other problems.

Faulty fuel level sensor, known GM problem. Requires removal of fuel pump assembly in order to replace level sensor. Done a thousand or so of them.
