A/C condenser question
The ac condenser on my 99 Taurus has a serious leak. The 'to fix' quote shows more for labor than parts so I'm wondering about the practicality of doing the work myself - retired so my time is cheap. The system already has no pressure and the condenser replacement seems fairly straightforward. After this, is repressurizing all that remains or am I missing something?

The labor quote is outrageous for a reason. This is no joke of a job, and unless you can get the car a minimum of 2 -1/2 feet off the ground..(the Radiator and condenser come out as 1 piece from the BOTTOM)..It would be wise to spend the bucks and let someone else fight with it. If I recall, labor time was about 7 hours.
