middle brake light

91 olds cutlass cirea

the middle brake light(the one above the trunk) does not light. it takes 2 1141 bulbs. however these bulbs arn't made anymore. does anyone know what model bulbs would work. its a single filament with one metal contact. the dome says use 1141 bulbs only.

Mine didn't light because it had a corroded socket because of a moisture leak.
Lamp manufacturers like GE and Sylvania, or auto parts stores, can cross reference this number to a new bulb.

Brake lamps should pull way more current than dome lights . . .?

Advance/Discount Auto has them on line, so check their store if you haven't already:

The "LL" is for long-life; theoretically they last longer.
