2000 Chevy Venture No air

I had my wife's van worked on they had to replace the head gaskets and now her air conditioner doesn't work. The place is now saying they didn't change her head gasket, but her intake gasket. Either way the air conditioner stopped working after they worked on it. It acts like the compressor isn't kicking on, when you turn it on, it doesn't have the sound or feel as if it has kicked on. Any suggestions?????

Replacing the intake gaskets does no require the ac to be sucked down and recharged, neither does the head gasket job. These vans are known to have leaking ac condensors. GM has redesigned the condensor so the replacement should last the life of the vehicle. The condensor sits infront of the radiator. Being low on charge, the ac compressor will not come on. If I were you, I would have the shop diagnose the leak and give you an estimate on the repairs. My bet is either a leaking condensor or a leaking rear ac line if equipped.

Was wondering your thoughts on this. I took my 02 Chevy Venture to the Chevy dealer 2 weeks ago for an AC problemm that was blowing out warm air. they diagnosed the problem to a leak in the rear evaporator and for $700 they solved the problem and the AC worked great for 2 weeks ( about 4 operating hours) and now it is doing the same thing again blowing out warm air. We took it back in and now they say it is some ttubing going to the rear and nothing they did. the tubing is on backorder and they haven't got back to me with a cost yet for the repair however, I am not sure if this should be an additional charge or under warranty. THey advised originally that they tested the system out and it was wrking as designed. MY problem is how do I know, maybe it was mis diagnosed to begin with. 2000 Taurus alternator? please help

:confused: Okay I am almost 100% certain the alternator is going in my 2000 ford taurus. I am trying to call a salvage place to see if they have any alternators. Well they do, but its for the type that is a 00/01 and theres another type for 2000 only. I have no idea how to get the information off my car that tells me what type of alternator i have on there. Its a 2000 Ford Taurus, 3.0 V6.
