Use a meter or test light to find the right wire. Pull one of the headlight bulbs and test the socket with the dims on.

I strongly suggest that you use a relay which will allow the dims to act as a trigger for the relay to switch the lights on and off. Run the feed for the lights through the proper relay terminals.

Adding the lights directly to the dim lights will at least double the amperage and the factory wiring will overheat and possibly cause a fire.

Even higher wattage bulbs will toast some wiring systems.

If these are true driving lights, not the cheapo $20 foglite type things, you may want to consider other things as well.

There are (or were) areas that don't allow auxiliary lighting except off-road or during appropriate inclement weather.

You may want to put in a cut-off switch, so they can be turned off when you are just driving around town.
