Replace brake light bulb 01 Chrysler Concord
How would a person get to and replace a brake bulb on a 2001 Concord. Thank you in advance

Most likely from inside the trunk. Pull back or unsnap the carpeting in the area of the light and you should see the wires going to the bulb socket. The socket should either snap out or come out with a partial counterclockwise twist.

Thank you for your reply. I did remove the tail light for inspection and found the bulbs to be good. I guess there must be a more serious issue. The only break light that I have, is one halve of the "third light" which is the one that shows through the rear window. I pulled the tail light assembly and looked at the lamps, and they appear to be ok. I have turn signals and tail lights, but no brake lights. Any other suggestions. Thanks again in advance.

Sometimes a filament will break but not show the usual burned out appearance. I would buy a bulb and replace one of the brake light bulbs, just to verify that they are okay. You will probably need the bulb later, so no loss.
Second, it appears that the brake lights and third light are fed from the same fuse and switch. The fact that the tail lights work indicates a good ground and the third light working indicates that power is getting through the switch. Start following the wires from the lights back towards the front of the car. You may find one or more connectors. Check them to be sure that they are clean and tight. A test light or meter would be a big help, but it's starting to sound like a loose connector.
