shifting problems
My 1998 Ford Contour 4 cyl Auto suddenly started to buck a little and my cruse control stoped working and my speedometer also stoped working. I was on the By pass in cruse control when this happened. I stoped and checked fluid levels and smelled the tran fluid does not smell burnt. I started it back up and my check engine light came on and the car shifts in to the gears ok but does it with a little force. Any suggestions.

Yeah since your ECU is throwin codes go get it scanned to get your problem solved. Also when was the las time your tranny fluid was changed?

Tranny fluid has nothing to do with his speedometer/cruise not working, it's his speed sensor like mike-b already said.
