Ford addicted to dino fuel?
I have a 2000 Ford Taurus flex fuel that has never seen E-85 in its 8 year life span.
So yesterday I see a E-85 station selling fuel for 339 a gallon and being on 1/8th tank I figure I am going to experiment and see how it runs on the stuff. I pump in 13 gallons of the stuff pay my big money and drive off. About 3 miles later I stop at a light and the darn car just shuts off but it starts right away.
It does this two times before I get home.
I dont think I am going to get the corn fuel anymore. I hope the car will adjust to the change of diet.
My next step is to put regular gas back in a few gallons at a time to dillute the E-85. Way to go Ford

Take a look at this short blog about the problem, well, maybe not "stalling" like you suffered, but similar:

Not CEL
Car did not puke out a CEL light yet but it still might. I have a code scanner so if it does I will see what it says clear code and go from there.
I dont think it is worth the trouble to keep putting corn fuel in the tank so I am going back to Dino as much as I hate to feed the Middle east oil barons with my US cash.

I understand, but if E85 ever took off, we would then start importing corn and such from overseas, and be in the same boat as we are now with petroleum. And god forbid if we ever get a major drought and can't grow corn...
