Question Wheels frozen to axle

I'm trying to rotate my tires but they are completely frozen to the axle and won't budge!

What's the best way to break them loose? (and yes, I did take the lugs off first)

Put one lug nut on each wheel, 3 or 4 turns each. Rock the car side to side at each corner until the wheels pop off.

Loosen each wheel nut about 1 to 2 turns and drive the vehicle into some hard corners and using the brakes hard. This should loosen the wheel. Obviously do this where you can do this safely and do it at low speed.

Usually you just turn the tire if possible and give it a swift kick, pop off goes the wheel, assuming your vehicle is supported strongly by jackstands.

I just use a pry bar between the wheel and the drum/rotor. Usually it doesn't take much to break loose this way.

Follow-up

Thanks everyone

I loosened the lugs, backed up in the driveway, slowly drove forward and nailed the brakes.

Then I was able to "kick" the wheels loose.

Once they're off, I always put a smear of antiseize on the contact points between the wheel and drum or hub.
