any shortcuts for ps hose replacement on 96 lumina

have a 96 lumina 3.1; replacing ps pressure hose; there seems to be no way to get a handle on loosening connections at rack; looks like the abs unit- booster assembly has to be removed to loosen splined end from rack and them sub-frame dropped to get to connections; anyone found a quicker fix, special tool, etc.

You can get it from under the car using a regular open ended wrench. Just make sure you support the vehicle very good before climbing underneath it.

tried that but very little room to work so as to offer little room for any torque; also I am concerned that an open end wrench will slip creating more problems so I am trying to stick with a line wrench; seemed like a simple fix upon initial inspection but seems more problematic now; I am going to sleep on it, and reevaluate in the morning;

You will need some patience and some inginuity. If you feel yourself getting aggrevated, back away until you cool down. I've needed to do this hundreds of times when working on aircraft. If you thought it's tough to get that hose out, you couldn't even imagine some of the bolts I had to remove.....

18mm "Crowfoot" wrench, 6 inch 3/8 drive extension and your ratchet of choice.....From under the car....You may need to remove both connections from the Rack , in order to untangle the pipes.

I have a hoist, so it makes my job easier. If you are working on the ground, on your back, I can see why you would have difficulty.
