clunking in 2002 Venture

I have experienced a problem with a 2002 Chevy Venture. It has been going on for about 6 months. It seems there is one dull clunk at times coming from the passenger side when turning a corner. There are no other problems felt in the front end and this clunk only happens once in a while while turning, not all the time. It hasn't really gotten any worse over this time period. I had the car inspected recently and everything passed. Any thoughts?

Guessing will do you no good on this one.....

Typically, a Knocking or clunking sound on turns, is related to something that moves in and out of its intended position during the stress of a turn....which can be anywhere from Strut mount to control arm bushings, and everything in between.

I probably shouldnt say something like this, being a licensed inspector in my state, But dont fall to the Idea that just because the car was inspected, that it is good to go....We are only human, and if the tech didnt hear your clunk...he really wouldnt have a reason to go "Digging " for an answer. Most inspection procedures are pretty strict, but As long as there is money to be made, there will always be an inspector who takes your cash, and puts a sticker on your car in the parking lot......Dont be afraid to tell the guy you have a concern ahead of time....It can very well alert him to a special area that he probably would have overlooked had he not been told...
