94 Ford Escort turns over but won't start

Car stalled on me yesterday. It turns over but won't start. I checked the fuel turn off in the trunk seems to be OK. I changed the fuel filter... Still nothing. I pulled the hose off of the filter again and had quite a bit pressure built up. HELP!

Before getting wrapped around the axle on troubleshooting it as a fuel problem, have you pulled a plug wire and checked for spark?

Checked all your fuses?

Removed oil filler cap and looked in at cam to see if it's rotating (broken timing belt?)?

I checked the spark.

The new Engine only has about a grand on it mileage wise. A new timing belt was put on when the new engine was put in. I checked for spark by pulling out the plug putting it back into the wire and turning it over to check for spark. Yep there is spark. About peed my pants. Do you look inside the oil filler while turning it over to check the timing belt? Where do I go from here?

OK.........Let's assume ign is OK and the engine is sound........Spray some throttle body cleaner down her throat and see if it'll start till the cleaner runs out.........
Does it "sound" normal on crank????........Does it sound like it's spinning too fast???
There should be an inspection plug at the top of the timing belt cover.......Pop out the plug and watch the cam as someone turns the engine over...............just to be sure
