2005 Caravan air bag light

Like the title says the air bag light came on the wife's van. Any ideas what would be causing this?

Many things could cause it...sensor, self test, computer, wiring issue...need to get it scanned and see whats up. Not really something you can just muck around and see what you find.

It's very intermittant. One day the lights on all day and the next day not at all. What's a clockspring? Is that next to the muffler bearing? I'll have to check and see if everything else works.

Everything on the wheel was working while the light was on. Today the light was on in the AM to work and off in Pm on the way home. I guess Maybe I have to wait until it stays on for good and take it in to get the code read. Ideas?

If the light come on & goes out.. There is a code stored...Any shop equiped to read these should help you out,, & don't let them give you the story about"" If the lights not on"".. That just means they don't have the tools to read it.... Roger
