I have checked the battery and also checked for spark both are good. I checked solenoid switch and its good the truck turns over but will not fire. Has this ever happened to anyone and what did you do to correct it? I need help.

You need to check to see if you have fuel. Fire and fuel are requirements for the combustion process to complete. Air flow into and out of the engine are also important factors.
Hope this helps ya,

1. read error codes
2. it's always the BIG THREE: fuel/spark/timing
3. if you have good fuel and spark, then it's timing. if you have ignition coils, then timing is set by ECM, so either your ECM is dead, or one of the crucial sensors, which=read error codes 1st. if no error codes, then go here:
http://autorepair.about.com/cs/faqs/l/aa042603a_1.htm
and just follow proper protocol for your situation.
if you have distributor, then check timing with timing light. but bad distributor won't give you good spark.
unless timing belt/chain is bad.......

fuel, fire, timing, compression! one missing, no run!
What color is the fire AT the plug? Does it try to start and quit or will NOT even try to start?
