wont start after overheat

1989 Dodge Grand Caravan.
3.0 Liter V6 EFI

My engine overheated and stalled on its own. It was in the red for about 45 seconds before stall. It has 80k on rebuilt engine and tranny. Now it wont start ????? Any help appreciated !

This just happened to my neighbor's car. Turned out to be a bad thermostat. The part cost $6 and it is easy to replace yourself. Hope this is the simple fix for you.

Does it spin faster than normal when cranking......V6 Mopars are very unforgiving in the head gasket department.
Casey.....T-stat may be the root cause of Overheating...but it wont stop the engine from running......
