1997 Taurus 3.0 Vulcan - #2 Misfire
Hello,
Car started shaking in idle and you could hear in higher RPM that not all 6 cylinders work.
I went to an auto part store to use their scanner and the code (only one code, thank God) that came back was PO302 (cylinder #2 misfire).
I took that plug out and it looks OK, it is dry. Compared to another plug - no "out of the ordinary clues" on it. The ignition coil also looks fine, didn't see any cracks in it.
Any idea where else to look/what to do before I head down to the mechanic (AKA - apply for a loan)?
Thanks.

Does that plug fire; if you connect the spark plug wire and ground the electrode to a good engine ground you should see a nice fat blue/white spark jump when you crank the engine. If not, then spark plug wire, plug, or cap, or other ignition part is faulty. If it does spark, may be a faulty injector?
