isuzu rodeo
hi i just bought a 1997 isuzu rodeo but i cant get the back seat to lock in place is there a way to adjust them so it will lock in place, and how hard would it be to change the head gaskets myself thank you

It might help everyone here if you say if you ever changed head gaskets in anything, so one can know your skill level and understanding of certain procedures that are going to be pretty much the same in any vehicle.

you can do it with a good shop manual but you must follow all of the procedures very carefully or risk needing a new engine, you can't skimp on tools or procedures when doing this type of repair. If you don't have the proper torque wrenches and other tools suggested by the manual then either buy or rent them. it would also require the services of a automotive machine shop to check the head for flatness and cracks. that being said it might be cheaper to find a good local shop to do this. just check references carefully

with 90k miles you will not be able to just torque the head bolts and reseal a head. that is a 50 to 100 mile thing. the expansion and contraction of the head is what wears out the head gasket and sometimes they don't last as long due to manufacturing tolerances.

But does it still expel water after say 15 minutes or more of driving? Or have you mainly noticed that at cold morning starts when idling car? And what is your outside air temperature where you are at, while you have been noticing that?

fast, that is your catalitic convertor working properly, when the vehicle reaches proper opperating temp the water exits as vapor usually invisible.
